A century-long story, always at the service of the Customer
On this page, we want to tell you the story of our family and how the Pesciarelli have been serving customers since the beginning of the century.
If you have the patience to read through, you will discover what sets us apart from other shopping centers, and maybe you’ll feel connected with our story, which in the end is the story of all of us.
Once upon a time, a century ago
Crispoldo Pesciarelli began working as a street vendor in Piegaro in the early 1900s, still very young. The goods he resold were glass items made in the local glass factory, where his father Cesare Pesciarelli had been appointed Factory Director and Trustee twenty years earlier.
Even when World War I called Crispoldo to arms, he did not stop (despite the distance and countless difficulties) supporting his wife Palma in managing the business.

Between the Two World Wars
Unfortunately, World War I did not spare Crispoldo, but his business was carried on by his wife Palma with the help of their three children, especially the firstborn Francesco, known as Checco.
Checco later married the noble Florentine Valentina Bacarelli, who created the first and innovative cutlery rental system for weddings and events (what we now call Catering).

After World War II
From the marriage of Checco and Valentina two sons are born: Cesare (like Checco’s grandfather) and Crispoldo (like his father).
As they grow up, Cesare and his mother Valentina continue selling housewares, toys, wedding lists, and gift items at major local fairs: Fiera dei Morti (formerly held in Piazza Danti), the weekly market in Perugia at Tre Archi, and those in Passignano, Castiglione del Lago, Corciano, Umbertide, Niccone, etc., as well as religious fairs in Santa Maria degli Angeli, Santuario delle Grondici, and Santuario di Canoscio.
The Pesciarelli family acquired storefronts in the central squares of the towns (Tuoro sul Trasimeno, Passignano, San Feliciano, Magione) where outdoor markets were held, to use them as merchandise depots.

Beginning of Works (1981)
Meanwhile, Checco founded a transport and moving company (as well as tourist and religious transport services) which was later supported by Crispoldo. This business would eventually shift its focus to the construction sector, capitalizing on the post-war reconstruction boom.
Crispoldo later added a construction materials warehouse to the transport company, and in 1965 he launched a fully-fledged building supplies business.
In the following years, the idea emerged to create a "Shopping Center", a place to gather all of the Pesciarelli family’s businesses together with other shops. It was a visionary idea for the time, and Cesare and Crispoldo threw themselves into it with all their energy.

Opening (1985)
In April 1985, the Centro Commerciale Pesciarelli was inaugurated.
The center opened its doors already featuring a well-stocked Conad supermarket and the Battistini tobacconist.

The Blooming of the Activities
Since its inauguration, the Centro Commerciale Pesciarelli has continuously grown, always pursuing top quality and customer care.
Among the first businesses to join the supermarket was the well-stocked "Emporio" (now Brico), where you could (and still can) find everything you need for DIY.

- ...NOW!
